DESIGN FEATURES
ULT designs and manufactures both production and drilling blowout preventers (BOP) according to API 16A spec. Our BOP products are applicable in a variety of operating conditions including low temperature, high temperature, and high Sulphur content. The highly engineered BOP products are capable of meeting stringent well control requirements for drilling, underbalanced drilling, formation testing, and production operations.
The bore sizes of our BOP products range from 2 9/16” to 30” with a pressure rating from 500 PSI to 20,000 PSI. The BOP bodies are either casted or forged with either manual or hydraulic locking mechanism.
ULT designs and manufactures seal components used in our BOPs as well. We have the capability to inspect and test BOP seals which are designed to work in a wide of temperature range as well as corrosive environment.
A BOP control system is special hydraulic equipment used to control the BOP and hydraulic valves to open and close. ULT designs and manufactures various types of BOP control systems for different application environments. Our control systems can be in a form of a skid or an insulated building with heating or cooling devices required for either low or high temperature applications.
ULT designs and manufactures a wide range of hydraulic control systems that can be used in both low and high temperature environment. The accumulator capacity can be as high as 1056 Gal; the number of control subjects can be as many as fourteen.
ULT offers a series of rubber seals for the BOP series. We can offer spherical and conical packing elements for all types of annular BOPs with a pressure rating up to 15,000 PSI. We can also offer variable bore rams, shear blind rams, pipe rams, seals for rotary BOPs.
